This diet is expensive to say the least. Tony has to have 9 servings of protein, a shake, a protein bar, 4 dairy, 1 carb, 1 fat, 4 veggies, and 2 fruits a day.
Let's see what the cost of that is for a week? 9 servings of protein at 3 0z each...3/4 a carton of egg white egg beaters and 3 oz of fat free turkey is only 2 servings of protein....the pack of 4 egg white beaters were $5.34!!! Lunch meat is well, not cheap either...the package of 12 oz is 4 morning's worth and is about $3.00. Let's not forget that is just for him...there are 5 other people who I have to feed!!! The protein powder is maybe a month's worth at $25 and the protein bars are about a month's worth at $20. Not to mention going through about 2 gallons of milk a week just for him. Last night, he still had 4 servings of protein left, so he ate 12 oz of chicken......so that means going through our meat supply faster as well. And...for the veggies, they either have to be raw or basically flavorless because he only gets 1 fat a day!!!
So...I am praying we get through this 90 days without going broke. ;-). I do wish him well on losing weight and getting in shape. There is nothing better than feeling your best and looking your best.
