Divas in Training

The birthday party yesterday was one of the cutest little girl parties I have ever been to. The girls made the old style fans, debutante style hats with flowers and lace all around. Then they dressed up in dresses, with jewelry, lipstick, boas, high heels, and purses. Then they got their nails painted and were ready for their tea party. The girls were all seated on the terrace with their little tea cups and a bell each. They actually had pink lemonade with little sugar in it, so that they could put some in and stir it themselves. The grandma of the birthday girl made an edible fruit arrangement, finger sandwiches, and crackers. The girls loved those bells. Anytime they needed something they rang a bell for one of us moms to get whatever it was that they needed. Soo cute..but hopefully Lexi doesn't try that on me at home :).

After tea time, they had birthday cake. The cake was in the shape of a tea pot...very adorable. They finished the night, watching Beauty and the Beast.
Fun times. It was such a treat for me to get to go with Lexi by myself and spend some mommy/daughter time with just her. We really enjoyed ourselves. I seriously have to borrow this party idea for one of my girl's parties in the future.
