Happy Birthday to my sweet husband!

My husband turns the big 3-8. So in honor of that, an idea I got from Heather's blog (thank you Heather), here are 38 pieces of information about my husband.

38. At 6 foot 1 he looks intimidating, but is the most tenderhearted man I know. He even cries at movies, commercials, songs. I think it is a great trait to have in a man, a rare one I know.

37. Competition and winning are important to him. He likes to play games...any kind...sports related, card games, board games, etc...and WIN! Of course, I do not let him win. :)

36. He has huge, beautiful eyes and passed them down to all our children.

35. He is a trivia champion. Don't even try to beat him.

34. He loves history and reads history books for fun...we have total opposite tastes in books. :)

33. Born just outside NYC, but loves grits, collard greens, even country music.

32. He is very loyal to those he loves..

31. His first real job is still his current employer, which is also where we met and started dating.

30. He makes THE BEST spaghetti and meatballs. YUM! He is a fantastic cook, loves trying new recipes, and they are always yummy.

29. To go with the previous one, the man can eat! We definitely share this love of food. :)

28. He went to an all boys Catholic high school....and graduated when I was in elementary school, lol.

27. He is my calm. I worry about everything...he reigns me in.

26. He does not care what people think of him...not in a bad way, but it doesn't bother him. Some people like you and some people don't. He doesn't lose sleep over the people that don't.

25. He is a very rational thinker...to combat my emotional thinking.

24. He loves his family with his whole being and we know it. He has been committed to our relationship since the beginning and I have no doubt we will be standing walker to walker :) when we are old and gray.

23. He is the most hot natured person I know...the man can sweat when we are freezing!

22. He hates talking on the phone...thank goodness facebook was invented for him to keep in touch with people.

21. He has huge feet, size 13...which he seems to have passed down to our children. Poor girls!

20. He has a great sense of direction...another blessing to someone like me, who has zero skill in this area.

19. He loves all things sports related, especially football. His favorite teams are the Yankees and Cowboys.

18. He did not look at price tags for things until me...he has expensive taste, but with 4 children has learned to curb that.

17. He loves God...and good beer and doesn't believe you can't love both.

16. He loves to have his feet rubbed...as do I.

15. He likes to shop as much as a girl...and LOVES shoes!

14. His nickname in school was Beef...the guys still call him this.

13. He loves The Godfather and The Sopranos...I do too.

12. People seem to pour their heart out to him because he cares about his employees. Anywhere he has ever managed has wanted him to come back when he moves on.

11. He loves reality tv...survivor, big brother, amazing race.

10. He is the most fun ever when he is on vacation, not to say he isn't fun normally, but vacation daddy as we refer to him is sooo relaxed and funloving. We love it!

9. He has integrity, even if it means it looks like others are doing better than him...he doesn't cheat.

8. He gives the best hugs.

7. He is one of those people who you get to know in stages, slowly peeling off layers upon layers. I still get surprised to learn things even after being together so long.

6. He does the biggest cannon balls in the pool...the girls love it! Water goes everywhere.

5. He has so much patience with our children and humbles me often when I am losing it.

4. He works so long and hard...but would love to be home with us more. The girls run to the door, as does the dog, when daddy gets home.

3. He is not a complainer or an arguer. We very rarely argue because he moves on very quickly.

2. He is not a neat freak or a messy person either...thank goodness. I try, but am definitely not a neat freak!

1. He is most definitely my other half. We compliment each other well and I couldn't imagine my life with anyone else. He is my sounding board, my friend, my husband, my children's father, and the glue that holds our family together.
