Update on our family

Alexis was student of the month for the second time this year....Can you believe it? She is such a smarty pants and is making such good choices at school. I couldn't be more proud of her. Daddy took her out for ice cream to celebrate. She has made all E's on all her report cards. We are thinking of enrolling her in the magnet school for math and science, because she is doing so well. She is ahead of most of her class and this school offers so much more for students, computer and science labs even for kindergarteners. She is reading at about a 2nd grade level. I am just so proud of her.
We started a "date" night or day, where we take one child and let them choose something to do with one parent, within reason. T and Lexi were the first date getting ice cream at Mc Donald's. The only rule is one on one and no cell phones or anything distracting, so that the two can just enjoy each other. I can't wait til I get my dates.

Alivia has a couple programs coming up at school, so we'll have pictures of that soon. She is doing very well in school. She can identify and write almost all of her letters and knows many of the sounds. We just signed her up for pre-k 4 next year. She has such an active imagination, and can be seen playing pretend all day long. She has so many conversations with her invisible friends or her baby dolls. She is such a cute little thing too with her petite features and body.

Allie is a handful right now. She will be 2 in a little over a week, and is having tantrums and hitting. I am really trying to be consistent and nip it in the bud...but it is a challenge. She is also feeling a bit jealous over the new baby and wants attention whenever Domenick needs something....but we'll figure it out and she'll get through it. She is a no fear chick though. She seriously has no fear. She is the one sliding head first on her belly...with no fear of her face landing on the ground. She is funny too. She is quite the parrot and says so many words. If you say anything chances are she will say it 1000 times back to you. :) When she is in a good mood, she is just the sweetest little thing ever.

Domenick is getting so big. At 6 weeks, he is starting to get chunky. He is a really happy boy, smiling and cooing at me. He is sleeping longer, about 5 or 6 hours for the first time when he goes down at night. He is staying awake longer during the day and just loves to be held and talked to. He is also happy to be in the bouncy and look around while I do what I need to do. I think he is starting to look more like T.

T and I are doing well. Other than getting over this sickness!!! I am still getting used to taking care of another little person....and I have good days and bad. I won't lie, sometimes it is overwhelming.,...but I love my life and all my blessings. My husband works a lot and when you think he can't work anymore than he already does, he seems to have to work more....but thankfully he has a job.
He is a great husband and dad though, and would truly rather be with us than anywhere else. We are enjoying playing outside at night with the kids and enjoying the wonderful weather....and counting down until the beach.
