My Creative Awakening!

Well, this mama is far from creative. This mama gets a break from her little chicks RARELY ...which is quite fine...but what a wonderful time I had making candles with my two good friends here. We made some wonderful smelling and beautiful candles to give as holiday gifts. It was so much fun! We are going to let our kids help decorate the jars, which will be fun for them as well.
It was very easy to make these candles and such a treat to have adult female time for those 3 hours.

So, next time we are going to make some gifts in a jar. Have you heard of these? I have found so many great recipes. We will be making cocoa in a jar, minestrone soup in a jar, and mexican dip mix in a jar. These will go into mason jars that we will decorate with Christmas ribbon and material. I am making gift baskets with these, homemade ornaments, and the candles...and for family, adding a picture of our girls. So this will be my next girl's time. Yeah! I can't wait.

This creativity thing is really much more fun and rewarding than I thought....and I must say I am really into the Christmas spirit this year...not worrying about what is on everyone's list and making sure I spend the exact same on each person. I am having so much fun being frugal...who knew?

And...we are going to make Christmas candy and cookies..this will be with the kids though. Should be fun as well! I must really be turning into an adult now. :) I guess that is what 4 kids will do to you. :)
